The concept is to restore the original character of Badminton house and Coach House when they were built in 1913. The proposed floor plans of restored Badminton House include entrance hall, two reception rooms, kitchen/breakfast, dining room, lounge/snug, gym, and maids room accommodation on the ground floor. Six ensuite bedrooms, cinema room and a terraced roof top with glass balustrade and a new staircase on the first and second floors. The plans for the restored Coach House proposed accommodation is a reception room, dining room, kitchen and utility on the ground floor. On the first floor are two bedrooms and a shared bathroom.
From our client: The response from Chiltern and South bucks planning department dated 25 may 2023 is that the pre planning submission made regards changes to Badminton House and Badminton Cottage are acceptable. The council would need further information in full application submission, but the chances are the schemes would be approved.
Further pre-planning application requested by Chiltern & South Bucks planning has been submitted reference number PQ/23/40272/PREAPP with revised plans for pool house enclosure, design/ access and Heritage statement, and arboriculture impact assessment reports included.
Floorplan- Restored 2nd option shows possibility of doing proposed restoration of badminton house in two phases. In the first phase the ground conversion could be done along with first floor apart from erecting the staircase leading to the second floor. This area could be made into a study room. In the second phase the wall leading from hallway and door could be removed and staircase leading to second floor installed to converted loft space on second floor at a later date.
